Are you feeling like your symptoms of pelvic floor tightness will never go away?

Have you tried pelvic floor physiotherapy or other treatments but nothing has worked and you are still dealing with bothersome symptoms?

Are you worried that about it getting worse and impacting your life more than it already does?

tame the tightness is your answer

Inside the Tame The Tightness workshop, you will learn why all the treatments you have already tried haven’t worked for you. You will walk away with strategies and exercises to implement into your life to release and retrain your pelvic floor, specifically for tightness, so you can be on your way to pelvic floor freedom.

In 90 Minutes, you will learn…

how does the workshop get results?

After years of helping women navigate pelvic floor tightness, I came to realize how many women have already tried pelvic floor physiotherapy and internal release work and yet still live with symptoms related to tightness like urinary urgency, leaking, pain and irritation. They believe they have tried everything and nothing will truly change their symptoms.

Everyone I see in clinic who needs help with pelvic floor tightness has not tried a movement-based approach prior to working with me. They have never been given corrective retraining exercises that are required to actually change how the muscles work. Corrective retraining is what makes the biggest difference to their symptoms and without this, tightness will never truly resolve.

The biggest problem I see with women who are not seeking help is accessibility. This could be out of fear and embarrassment of seeking help, having no one local to them who they believe can actually help or even just affordability of committing to 1:1 rehab treatment.

I have spent the last few months designing the Tame The Tension workshop to provide the most accessible way of accessing pelvic floor rehab to women no matter what their barrier to entry is.

Combining essential education, corrective exercise, support resources and a self-paced 4-week rehab program, Tame The Tension is the best way to get started in finding freedom from pelvic floor tightness. I will be sharing with you a handful of effective exercises I use with my 1:1 clients, that not only give relief from symptoms but also gives confidence that a life without pelvic floor problems is possible.

And it is for you too.

who is the workshop for?

Maybe you are asking yourself, I am not quite sure if this workshop is me for? This is perfect for you if you experience…

Urinary urgency but you get to the toilet. there isn’t very much urine and you wonder why the hell the urge was so strong

It takes a while for your pee to start, maybe you can’t quite get it all out or you have to push to get that last little bit out

Constipation that doesn’t resolve with dietary changes and maybe you have also noticed your poop is skinny

Pain during insertion or penetration. This could be during times of intimacy or when trying to use tampons or menstrual cups

Feelings of frequent UTI’s but you don’t have any positive bacterial tests

Pelvic, hip, low back or tailbone pain. The pelvic floor is the biggest culprit in all of these and is often overlooked in treatment plans

Urinary incontinence but tends to happen only during certain activities like jumping, skipping, running or even sneezing

You live with a chronic health condition like endometriosis or have a chronic pain condition

you still have symptoms because you haven’t addressed the drivers behind pelvic floor tightness

I know you’re probably thinking, ‘how is this going to be different to other pelvic floor rehab treatments I have done?’

Resolving pelvic floor tightness is not as simple as release it and you’re fixed. There are many drivers outside the pelvic floor causing the tightness to stick around even after internal release. Drivers include breathing mechanics, deep core coordination, posture and alignment, hip mechanics and mobility as well as things like chronic health conditions, pain and ongoing stress.

Without addressing these ‘drivers’ it is near impossible to see long term changes to your pelvic floor. The Tame The Tension workshop will not only walk you through exercises that address the pelvic floor itself, but it will also cover exercises specific for breathing mechanics, hip mobility and posture/alignment by beginning muscular re-training of some muscles around the pelvis.

If you haven’t tried a whole-body movement-based approach to resolve your pelvic floor symptoms I’m not surprised you still have symptoms. You need more than just pelvic floor release and relaxation.

I use the same whole-body movement-based methodology in all of my 1:1 rehab programs and it works time and time again, even for those clients who had already tried pelvic floor physiotherapy and were still struggling with symptoms.

can 90-minutes actually resolve my symptoms?

As much as I would love to be able to give you all the exercises to completely retrain your body and fully resolve your pelvic floor symptoms in a 90 minute workshop, this is just not possible.

This workshop is designed to get you started on the next step of your pelvic floor journey. I have done my best to put together as much value as possible in the workshop to move you closer to pelvic floor freedom.

We will workshop the same exercises I give to all my 1:1 clients in the first 4 weeks of their rehab program to address the tightness and begin retraining the deep core system.

These exercises alone bring so much relief to my clients symptoms.

  • Less urgency

  • Less tightness through the hips and pelvis

  • No more having to push pee out or wait for that second dribble

  • Better bowel movements and

  • Less pain during intimacy

Meet me, courtenay

My 20 year old self felt embarrassed about peeing herself during CrossFit classes.

I am a Women's Health Exercise Physiologist passionate about bridging the gap between acute pelvic floor rehab (Kegels) to functional training.

After having my own pelvic floor issues as a young 20 year old during CrossFit as well as frequent episodes of drenched undies after hysterically laughing and always having to cross my legs when sneezing, I thought having a ‘weak bladder’ was normal for females. I did not realise this was even a problem that could be solved and then felt too embarrassed to even seek help because I wasn’t a ‘mum’ and couldn’t blame having kids as the reason why I peed myself. So I ignored it and hoped it got better. It didn’t!

I had a passion for learning about the human body and how it worked so went to university to study exercise physiology. As I transitioned into the working world of health and fitness I came to realise how common pelvic floor dysfunction was and MANY women had exactly the same issues as me and also had no idea it wasn’t normal and they could actually fix it. It was this that prompted me to dive deeper into women’s health and finding a solution for woman to not feel the same embarrassment that I did.

I dived into the research, did all the study and learning and became an absolute guru in pelvic floor health with huge goals to provide accessible pelvic health care for all women. I created a 100% virtual clinic to provide services to woman no matter where they live and for those not able to (or want to) take up 1:1 consultation, created programs specific for each pelvic health concern in order to truly make a difference in the lives of women.

I believe all women should be able to easily access pelvic health care even if it means not seeing someone for 1:1 consults.

Life is already full of many challenges and your pelvic floor should not be one of them.
